African Midwives, Have Your Voice Heard!
The World Health Organization (WHO), ICM and the White Ribbon Alliance are collaborating on empowerment, safety, and respect of midwives. As part of this, a survey to better understand the realities of the lives and working conditions of midwives including the impact of this on retention, attrition, and quality of care for women and newborns is being conducted. WHO will use the information to develop further research and discussion among partners on how to ensure midwives' views are taken into account.
We want to help support midwives in the every-day realities you experience in providing quality care to women and newborns. Complete this short questionnaire by the 27th February so ICM-WRA-WHO can share this unique global survey and then develop evidence based guidance for countries.
Over 2000 midwives from all over the world have already participated. We are now reaching out to the African midwives, to make sure their voices are included too. Please share this survey through your country professional association to members and midwives further afield. Click to access the survey in English, and French. Thank you for your time and commitment!
The deadline for completion is 27th February 2015.
